Carolyne Oates qualified with a B.Sc.Occ.Ther. degree from the University of Cape Town, South Africa in December 2000. She joined the Royal Berkshire and Battle Hospitals NHS Trust, Reading doing elderly care, neurology and general medical work.
In 2002, she joined the Reading Primary Care Trust, providing Paediatric Occupational Therapy services to mainstream and special schools across Berkshire. Carolyne then decided to set up her own practice in order to be able to offer a comprehensive Paediatric Occupational Therapy service.
For the past 17 years, she has continued to offer this service to children with varying needs and diagnoses. Carolyne graduated in 2013 as a recognised Sensory Integration Therapist from the University of Ulster, and has post-graduate training in Trauma and Attachment.
She is passionate about supporting children to reach their potential and overcome their difficulties. She has 2 teenage daughters and a recently-adopted son from China. She brings her personal experiences of parenting into her clinical practice, alongside her clinical training.
